    105011 - Pitch, Hit, and Run

    Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run is a FREE event that tests three of the most fundamental aspects of baseball and softball - Pitching, Hitting, and Running:
    Pitch: Participant is tested throwing strikes to a designated Strike Zone target.
    Hit: Participant hits a ball off a stationary tee for distance and accuracy.
    Run: Participant is timed, starting from second base, touching third then touching home plate.
    All of the events are individually scored and converted to a total point score through the use of conversion tables.
    Participants will compete in each of the three components of Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run and accumulate total score based on his/her performance. Winners will move on to Regionals and continued success can lead to a chance ot compete in Nationals.

    Clay County 4-H is partnering with NKC Parks and Rec in hosting a week long day camp for youth ages 5-7 years old to experience a wide variety of activities similar to those they would see at 4-H camp when they’re 8-14 years old. Campers will have activities each day led by Clay County Extension Staff, 4-H Youth leaders and 4-H Adult Volunteers around topics such as health/nutrition, art, nature, science and so much more. Campers will arrive at Macken Park in NKC each morning at 8:00 am and should be picked up at 12:00 pm. Snacks will be provided. While the camp is sponsored by 4-H it is open to all youth regardless of their enrollment in 4-H.

    Join us in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin! We will stay in Sturgeon Bay for three nights. We'll start with a ferry ride to Washington Island for an island tour by trolley. Back on the mainland we will have dinner and see "La La Lucille" at the Thrid Avenue Playhouse. Our next day starts with a guided tour of some of Door County's most treasured lightouses: Eagle Bluff, Cana Island, Canal station and Baileys Harbor range Lights, followed by a traditional fish boil and a play at Peninsula Players. We conclude our time in Door County at the famous Renard's Cheese Factory for a tour and tasting.
