    In this 8 week course, you will learn about the history of hair braiding. We will go over Guidelines and procedures required by the state of Missouri for hair braiding outside of a cosmetology establishment which includes a self test.You will learn the basic essentials of hair braiding. Parting, plats, cornrows, fishtailing, crochet, feathering, hair proportions, hair control, hair extension, and box braid. Attending this Basic Hair Braiding Course is preparing you for the beauty industry. Students will need to bring their own sack lunch.

    202030 - Homeschool Enrichment

    A 14 week program geared towards offering homeschool students enrichment courses including cooking, physical education, art, and team building. Every Wednesday, students will join us for their courses from 10am to 2:30pm. The program will be held September 8 through December 15. There are 12 spots offered for each age group, 6-9 year-olds and 10-13 year-olds. Enroll now!
    NKC Parks and Recreation will follow the CDC guidelines. If your child is fully vaccinated, masks are not required. If your child has not been vaccinated, a mask should be worn.

    This is a D-Level Softball League. "D" Leagues are for new teams and for teams playing at a recreational level. Teams are required to provide their own game balls. This is a double header league. Each league will play 8 regular season games round robin style. Each league will then be split based on record for a season end tournament.
    This is a D-LEVEL softball league. D-level teams are teams that are more competitive and hitting homeruns over the fence consistently with multiple players that can hit the ball over the fence! Coed Games are on Sunday evenings and Mens Games are Thursday nights. All games are played at Macken Park. Teams are required to provide their own game balls. Each team will play 8 double-header regular season games with an end of season tournament for a total of 10 games.
    Teams must pay a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to hold their spot.

    404005 - Old Fashioned Christmas in Branson, Missouri

    Join us on a holiday trip to fantastic Branson, Mo. Day one, we will have lunch at the Keeter Center on the College of the Ozarks Campus and then head to Branson where the first night we will go to Dixie Stampede for dinner and the show. We will end the day with a drive through Branson Promise Land lights. Day two, after breakfast we will see the holiday production by the Deblin Irish Tenors and then head to the Grand Village for a little shopping. To cap off the day we will have dinner and see The Christmas Wonderland show. Day Three, we will spend our day at Silver Dollar City. You will explore the park at your own pace so you can enjoy shows, shop and more. There are scooters and wheelchairs available if you are concerned with all the potential walking. Day Four, we will head to the Landing for some last minute shopping and to watch the Holiday Fountain show choreographed to music before having lunch at the new Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen before starting on our trip home.
