Even if you are not fully vegetarian, this class will help give an understanding of how to cook with more zest!

    Participants in this class will learn tips to manage their type 2 diabetes. In this a 6-week class, participants will learn about symptom management, appropriate exercises for maintaining strength and mobility, healthy eating, appropriate medication and communication with your healthcare provider. Each participant will make an action plan that will help them manage type 2 diabetes.

    If you like to draw or paint, you are invited to join the Monday Art Group at North Kansas City Parks and Recreation. No matter what your medium or skill level, you will enjoy the creative and pressure free environment of a colorful group of novice and experienced artists. The class is led by Heather, who is there to instruct and help when needed. You can work from your own photos, pictures or illustrations or bring your own still life. Art supplies including basic oils, watercolors, acrylics, pencils and brushes - but it is recommended that you bring your own for your project.

    304008 - Pigeon Forge & Smoky Mountain Trip

    Have you ever experienced the Holidays in the Smoky Mountains? Well here is your chance! Once we arrive in Pigeon Forge and check into our hotel for 3 nights on day two we will enjoy the Soul of Motown Dinner Show, reliving the great music of Motown Legends. Day 3: we will start our day off with breakfast and the “Tis The Season” show. Afterwards we will enjoy free tome to explore historic downtown Gatlinburg. Then we will enjoy a fabulous meal and the Theatrical extravaganza at the Hatfield-McCoy Dinner Theatre with Blue grass music, comedy and dancing. That evening we will go to the “Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry” where we will hear spectacular singing, outstanding choreography and thrilling surprises for one special evening. Day 4 begins with breakfast and the “Magic Beyond Belief Morning Show”. That evening we will enjoy dinner and “The American Hit Parade”, music spanning the fifties to the eighties. On our final morning in Pigeon Forge we will tour Titanic: The World’s Largest Museum Attraction.

    304009 - St. Joseph Holiday Lights Tour

    This year for our holiday lights tour we will be heading to St Joseph, Mo. We will have Dinner at Luna’s before driving through Krug Park and South Pole Park where they have spectacular drive through lights displays. On the bus we will have prizes, trivia and games. Each participant will go home with a treat bag and some fun memories.
